I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
